PPR have expressed serious concerns around plans to change the Housing Selection Scheme in a response to a Northern Ireland Housing Executive Equality Impact Assessment on the policy.

Earlier this year we raised concerns about changes to the Housing Selection Scheme to align it with changes to Housing Benefit. In our response we note here that these concerns have been unaddressed. Specifically, PPR urge the NIHE to reconsider their proposals around minimum bedroom requirements for children of different ages and for parents with access to children who don't normally reside with them. PPR are especially concerned at the significant gaps in analysis of relevant data especially with regards people with disabilities. To read PPR's response, please click here.
