PPR also highlights how the Housing Executive’s plans for a Belfast City Centre waiting list for social housing directly contravene it’s obligation to address the chronic housing shortage for Catholics in North Belfast, and has adverse impacts for people on the social housing waiting list with dependants and those with disabilities. PPR states that owing to the predetermined exclusion of the needs of these groups, this proposal will not deliver a shared future for the most vulnerable within our society.
